A steady, honest space to explore what’s underneath
Personal counseling that fits your life and helps you unravel yourself, understand, and move forward.
Jessica Pontis, LCSW
With 10 years of experience, my approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens inside an honest, open, and empathetic relationship. Before we dig into anything, I want you to feel respected exactly where you are, including the fear or hesitation that can come with starting therapy.
Once that relationship is there, we get to work: exploring the roots and functions of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, so that the patterns you've been managing start to make sense and become something you can actually shift.
I focus on your uniqueness and your individual strengths, so the goals we work toward are actually yours. It’s important for me to practice from a person-centered approach, and because of this I want my clients to know that I’m a person too. I’m not a “blank-slate” therapist, and trusting me as a provider also means seeing me in my own authentic, vulnerable, direct identity.
This isn't a passive process, it's a collaborative, empowering dynamic. You bring your lived experience and your goals, I bring structure, evidence-based tools, and a deep appreciation for who you are.
A practice built for people ready to do real, structured work.
Evidence-based, not one-size-fits-all
CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, REBT, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Theory and Narrative Therapy are all part of the toolkit, matched to what actually fits your goals, not applied by default.
Genuinely affirming
Support for LGBTQIA+, kink-affirming, and polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous clients. Here we celebrate those existing as their authentic selves, including your sexual identity and expression, and gender identity.
Practiced with humility
My learning as a clinician never stops. I hold my own personal and cultural humility as seriously as any technique or therapeutic relationship, because you deserve a therapist who keeps growing too. I am committed to continuing to practice with sensitivity so I earn the trust of my clients with various backgrounds and lived experiences.
